Australia completed a clean sweep of victories over England in all formats when they won the second Twenty20 cricket international in Melbourne by eight wickets today to clinch the three-match series 2-0.

England only posted 130 for nine after winning the toss and the home side coasted to victory with 5 point 1 overs left at 131 for two.

Skipper George Bailey hammered an unbeaten 60 off just 28 balls with three sixes and seven fours, while opener Cameron White hit 57 not out off 45 balls.

It was Australia’s 11th win out of 12 in all formats against England on the tour.

England will finish their troubled tour of Australia in Sydney on Sunday in the final dead rubber Twenty20 game after losing the Ashes 5-0 and the one-day series 4-1.
