The registration for the new Government of Jamaica (GOJ) health cards begins today.

The card will become the primary means by which people will access health services at public facilities.

People will be able to use the card to get drugs at public pharmacies and Drug Stores by March 3.

Health Minister, Dr Fenton Ferguson, says registration forms have been made available to all the Regional Health Authorities for distribution to the health centres and hospitals they oversee.

Registration will also be facilitated at the Health Ministry's head office in downtown Kingston and the National Health Fund (NHF).

It will take up to three weeks for the NHF to process, print and mail the cards to applicants.
