KINGSTON, Jamaica:

The Ministry of Health says there has been a tremendous response to registration for the new Government of Jamaica (GOJ) Health Card.

The card will become the primary means by which people will access health services at public facilities.

The Ministry says during the first day of registration yesterday, 30,000 forms were issued with most public health facilities reporting that their batch of registration forms was fully utilised.

The Ministry says additional forms have been dispatched today, while more will be distributed to the Regional Health Authorities by tomorrow.

The GOJ Health Card was launched on Friday.

The use of the card will begin in all public health facilities on March 3.
