BOBSLEIGH: Jamaica bobsledders lose luggage, miss training

The Jamaican bobsleigh team has missed training on the Sochi Olympic track after their luggage was lost en-route to Russia.

Driver Winston Watts and brakeman Marvin Dixon will compete in the two-man bob in Sochi as Jamaica ended their 12-year absence at the Winter Olympics.

The 46-year-old Watt says it is really frustrating for this to happen after getting all the funding together to arrive at the Olympics.

The Jamaican team shot to fame after its 1988 appearance at the Winter Olympics was later turned into the movie Cool Runnings.

Watts, a veteran of the 1994 and 1998 Games, turns 47 on February 8, eight days before the Sochi 2014 two-man bobsleigh heats begin.

His best finish at any Games is 14th in the four-man in Lillehammer 20 years ago.
