Finance Minister, delegation leaves for Trinidad and Tobago

Finance Minister Dr Peter Phillips is to lead a delegation to Trinidad and Tobago today.



He will be attending the Third Annual Consultation Meeting of the Inter American Development Bank (IDB) with Caribbean Governors in Port of Spain.



This consultation is held prior to the annual meeting of the IDB Board of Governors.



Presentations will be made on topics of particular interest to the Caribbean region such as the macro economic outlook, competitiveness and investment.



An update will also be given on the annual Caribbean Growth Forum which was held in the Bahamas in September 2013.



Travelling with Dr Phillips are Director of the Planning Institute of Jamaica, Colin Bullock; Deputy Financial Secretary, Darlene Morrison; and Technical Advisor to the Minister, Helen McIntosh.



The delegation is set to return on Saturday.
