The West Indies cricketers will have a full training session at Sabina Park today in preparation for the second and final Twenty20 International against minnows Ireland tomorrow.

The Caribbean team is trailing the series 1-nil following a shock defeat in the opening game yesterday.

The huge upset enabled the Irish to record their first ever victory over the reigning World Champions in this format.

West Indies skipper Darren Sammy made no excuses for the six-wicket defeat, admitting that the Caribbean team was outplayed.

The Windies won the toss and batted but could only muster 116 for 8 from their 20 overs.

Ireland replied with 117 for 4 to win with five balls to spare.

Sammy says the West Indies will have to put in a better performance on Friday to show they are worthy of being the world champions.

Following the second Twenty20, the two teams will play a One-Day International on Sunday, also at Sabina Park.

Both teams are using the series as preparation for the International Cricket Council World Twenty20 in Bangladesh next month.
