Published:Thursday | February 20, 2014 | 4:19 PM

St Thomas Resident Magistrate, Jennes Anderson, is warning persons transporting agricultural produce that they must have a legitimate receipt.

She says without it, at their second court appearance, they will be fined or sent to prison for committing an offence under the Praedial Larceny Act.

Anderson made the declaration in the Morant Bay Court Resident Magistrate's Court as several persons pleaded guilty for having agricultural produce and no receipt.

They were given 30-day prison terms or fines of up to $30,000.
