KINGSTON, Jamaica:

Kamoza Clarke’s family spoke with our News Centre this morning after learning of his death.

His sister, Olive Hines says the family is hurting and confused.

She says while her brother was left in a vegetative state from the police beating in October, the family had still been hopeful.

Hines says the hurt is even more profound as two of Clarke’s three children have not seen their father since the incident last year.

She explains that the Cornwall Regional Hospital did not allow them to see him because they were not old enough according to hospital rules to be allowed access to ward.

Hines has expressed gratitude for the support the family has received.
