Two of the co-accused in the gun case involving former resident magistrate Dionne Maylor Reid have been freed.

Toniann Turner and Kadesha Blair were freed after the Crown told the Western Regional Gun Court in St James yesterday that it had no evidence to offer against them.

Maylor Reid and another co-accused, Radcliffe Campbell remain on trial.

The gun trial started yesterday.

All four were arrested last year, after a team from the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Task Force raided the attorney’s office and reportedly found a firearm and incriminating evidence alleged to be connected to the infamous lottery scam.

The two accused are scheduled to appear in the Savanna-la-Mar Resident Magistrate’s Court next week Thursday in relation to the lottery-scam charges.
