ATHLETICS: St Mary High surge ahead at Eastern Champs

Defending champions Buff Bay have surrendered their lead to St Mary High on today’s second and final day of the 2014 Jamaica National/Eastern Secondary Schools Sports Association Athletic Championships.

The Championships are taking place at the National Stadium.

After 42 finals St Mary High have surged ahead with 270.5 points, 35.5 ahead of second place Buff Bay on 235.

Sixteen-time champions Oberlin High are in third place with 214.5 points.

St Mary High are also leading the boys and girls’ sections.

After 17 boys final, St Mary High have tallied 103.5 points to lead Oberlin who have 77.5.

And after 25 girls’ finals, St Mary were leading with 158 points, followed by Buff Bay on 158.
