HORSE RACING: Ash Wednesday Trophy features today

Midweek racing resumes at Caymanas Park today with the holiday programme featuring the Ash Wednesday Trophy over 1300 metres.

The overnight allowance race has attracted a field of 11 and should be interested with champion trainer Wayne DaCosta having three entries.

They are MY FRIEND LUCY under leading jockey Dick Cardenas, CANTARE with female jockey Georgina Sergeon aboard, and RIO COBRE, the mount of 4 kilos claiming apprentice Holanda Butler.

However, the two expected to fight out the finish are TRADITIONAL PRINCE and PRINCE ANDREW.

There are eight other races on the card and post time is 1:15 p.m.
