VYBZ KARTEL TRIAL: Proceedings to resume with judge's address to jury
The judge in the Vybz Kartel murder trial is expected to start his summation before an 11-member jury when the case resumes this morning.
Last Wednesday, the trial was adjourned until today to facilitate medical-related appointments for two jurors.
Justice Lennox Campbell is expected to begin his address to the jury at 10 o'clock in the Home Circuit Court in downtown Kingston.
The trial has been going on since November 18, last year, and is said to be one of the longest cases to be tried in the Circuit Court.
Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, is charged jointly with fellow entertainer Shawn Campbell, also called Shawn Storm, Kahira Jones; Shane Williams and André St John.
They are charged with the murder of Clive 'Lizard' Williams, of Waterford, St Catherine.
He was allegedly beaten to death on August 16, 2011, at Kartel's Havendale house over two missing guns.
