Ever-improving triple jumper Kimberly Williams won Jamaica's first medal at the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships after taking the bronze medal in the women's triple jump final with a season best mark of 14.39m.

Williams, who finished fourth at last year's IAAF World Championships in Moscow, finished behind Ukraine's Olga Saladukha, 14.45m and gold medal winner Ekaterina Koneva from Russia, 14.46m, to win her first international medal.

With her bronze medal, Williams became the first Jamaican woman to medal in the triple jump at the world stage since Trecia-Kaye Smith's gold medal triumph at the 2005 World Championships.
