68-year-old contractor one of two killed on Dyke Road, Portmore

Police investigators have revealed that a 68-year-old contractor is one the two men who were shot and killed by gunmen along the Dyke Road, in Portmore St Catherine last evening.



He has been identified as Livingston Garvey, of Cherry district, in the parish.



The other man has been identified as 26-year-old construction worker Mario Cross, also from Cherry district.



The Caymanas Police say they were summoned to the Dyke Road area by residents who reported hearing loud explosions.



The police say on their arrival, Cross was found lying in a pool of blood beside a motorcar while Garvey’s body was discovered some distance away.

Both men had multiple gunshot wounds.



The police are appealing to anyone with information that can assist their investigation to contact the Caymanas Police at 988-1719, the St Catherine Major Investigation Taskforce at 967-3377 or 948-9181, police emergency number 119 or nearest police station.
