The St Catherine Major Investigations Taskforce says it has identified several suspects who have been linked to the killing of two men along Dyke Road, in Portmore St Catherine yesterday.

Investigators say they have also established a motive for the killings, but are remaining tight-lipped about it.

Sixty-eight- year-old contractor Livingston Garvey and 26-year-old construction worker Mario Cross, both of Cherry district in the parish, were shot repeatedly by unknown assailants along the Dyke Road last evening.

The Caymanas police say they were summoned to the area about 5:30 p.m. by residents who reported hearing loud explosions.

The police say on their arrival, Cross was found lying in a pool of blood beside a motorcar while Garvey’s body was discovered some distance away.

The police are appealing to anyone with information that can assist their investigation to contact the Caymanas police at 988-1719, the St Catherine Major Investigation Taskforce at 967-3377 or 948-9181, police emergency number 119 or nearest police station.
