American and Jamaican drown on Sunday

A 53-year-old American is suspected to have drowned at the Mammee Bay Beach in St Ann, yesterday.



He has been identified as Allan Johnson of a Philadelphia, address in the United States.



The police say Johnson was at the beach about 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon with relatives when he went into the water, got into difficulties and drowned.



The police were summoned and on their arrival the body was taken from the water and transported to the morgue.



Meanwhile, 33-year-old Andrew Campbell, otherwise called ‘Dizzy’, of Rockingham Road, Kingston 2 is suspected to have drowned at the Beaumont Beach in Kingston yesterday.



The Rockfort Police say Campbell’s body was seen floating in the water minutes before midday and the police were summoned.
