HOCKEY: Alpha hold one-point lead in ISSA/JHF competition

Zone ‘A’ leaders Alpha Academy will take a one-point lead going into tomorrow's set of games in the ISSA/Jamaica Hockey Federation Under-19 competition at the Mona Turf.



Alpha Academy’s perfect win record ended yesterday following a 1-1 draw against St Andrew High.



Onya Ives handed Alpha a 10th minute lead, but Bijee Jackson ensured that St Andrew High stayed a point behind in second place with a 33rd minute goal.



Immaculate beat Merl Grove 1-0 courtesy of a 33rd minute goal from Shanice Bryan to move to third spot in the Zone.



In the boy’ competition, Jamaica College defeated Tivoli High 3-1 to hold a two-point lead atop Zone ‘A’.



And Campion College maintained a three-point lead in Group ‘C’ after a 2-1 victory over Papine High.



Three matches are scheduled for tomorrow.
