$1m bail for Portmore man on child pornography charge
Sean Coffie, who is charged with Breaching the Child Pornography Prevention Act, was granted bail in the sum of $1 million when he appeared in the Spanish Town resident Magistrates court yesterday.
He was bailed on condition that he reports to the Portmore police three times per week and surrenders his travel documents.
He is scheduled to return to court on May 5.
Coffie, who is already on bail for conspiracy to shoot his wife, was charged after the cell phone that the police took from him was searched and photos of half-naked under-aged girls were found in it.
Coffie was arrested following the shooting death of his pregnant wife 27-year-old Sasha Gay Coffie in October.
He is being represented by attorneys-at-law Churchill Neita and Patrick Peterkin.
