He may be the second best athlete in the world over 200m but now the World Championships silver medallist Warren Weir looks set to return to the 110m hurdles - the event which made him a star during his Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) Boys’ Championships days at Calabar High School in Jamaica.

The tax axe falls

The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) imposed a tax of $3000 per annum for all referees about five years ago. Referees at all levels had to pay this tax before a licence could be granted to them.
