CRICKET: Dwayne Bravo wants batting promotion

West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo wants to bat higher in West Indies' line-up for the World Twenty20 in Bangladesh.

Bravo, who hit 43 off 31 balls in the warm-up win over Sri Lanka yesterday, believes that a move up will allow him his desired role as the fulcrum of the West Indies' middle-order.

Bravo added that all the batsmen were high on confidence after series win at home against England, followed by warm-up wins against England and Sri Lanka in Bangladesh.

West Indies will begin their campaign in the World Twenty20 against India on Sunday and two days later they take on one of the ICC qualifiers.

Their third match will be against Australia on March 28 followed by a clash against Pakistan on April 1.
