Card Unit dance group member killed in fire

KINGSTON, Jamaica:

Police investigators are probing a fire in Bucknor, Clarendon which damaged three houses and left one man dead.




Dead is 22-year-old Sheldon Levy, who is from a from Callaloo Bed address in St Catherine.



It is reported about one o’clock this morning explosions were heard and fire was later seen coming from the dwelling Levy was in.



The police and the fire department were summoned.



The fire reportedly spread to two other houses, causing occupants to flee leaving behind personal belongings.



Levy, who is also known as 'Beenie' and ‘Talent', was sole occupant of the house, which was completely burnt.



His grandmother said he was among family and friends who came on the weekend to attend a party.



She said Levy was a member of the popular Card Unit dance group.
