The World Youth Championship gold medallists named to the team are sprint hurdlers Yanique Thompson and Jaheel Hyde along with 400-metre runner Martin Manley and 400-metre hurdler Marvin Williams.

Also included is Tifanny James, the 400-metre bronze medallists at the World Youth Championship.

Jhevaughn Matherson and Jevaughn Minzie were also selected to the team.

Jamaica has dominated the CARIFTA Games over the years.

Last year in The Bahamas, Jamaica topped the table with 69 medals comprising 29 gold, 25 silver, and 15 bronze.
