Champs 2014: Calabar’s Chattoo leading decathlon standings

KINGSTON, Jamaica:

Calabar’s Shakiel Chattoo is on course to securing gold in the boys' decathlon at this year’s ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys' and Girls' Championship underway at the National Stadium.




The talented Chattoo is currently leading the decathlon standings with 4,508 points, ahead of Maurice Harrison of Excelsior (4,356) and Shaquille Shaw of Kingston College (4,298).



They are followed by Shamar Morrison from Jamaica College (4290), Buff Bay’s Amaudo Oconner (3960), and Orelle Bulgin from Cornwall College (3615).



Fourteen participants have so far competed in discus and 110m hurdles events.



The pole vault, Javelin, and 1500m are the other remaining events.
