The Clarendon Parish Council has identified a property to relocate vendors affected by last week’s fire in the May Pen Market.

Mayor of May Pen Scean Barnswell says the vendors will be temporarily relocated to a vacant lot adjacent to the market.

He says the property is owned by the Parish Council.

Barnswell says he will also be meeting with the vendors affected by the fire on Friday to update them on the Parish Council’s plans.

He says he is expecting to get a report from investigators on the fire by tomorrow.

More than 40 shops were damaged in the fire.

The damage is estimated at $30 million.
