KINGSTON, Jamaica:

Uncapped 22-year-old pacer Nicholson Gordon and experienced leg-spinner Odean Brown have both been drafted in Jamaica's 13-man squad for their remaining two Regional four-day tournament preliminary-round matches.

Gordon, a former West Indies Under-19 representative, replaces the injured David Bernard Jr, while Brown, who is returning from a knee operation, has replaced off-spinner Jamie Merchant.

The Jamaica squad is now in Trinidad and Tobago to play the Trinidadians in the sixth round, starting on Friday.

The match will take place at Queen’s Park Oval.

Jamaica, who went down to a 245-runs home defeat to Barbados on Tuesday, are on a two-game losing streak, and currently fourth in the seven-team points standings on 41 points.

The team is 15 points behind the Trinidadians, who occupy third position.

Title-holders Barbados, 66 points and the Windward Islands, 62 points, who have played one game more that Jamaica and T&T, are first and second.

The four teams at the end of the preliminary round are slated to advance to the semi-finals.
