The police are appealing for information as they intensify their probe into last night's shooting in West Kingston.

Two people were killed and 10 others injured when gunmen opened fire on a group of people.

Those killed have been identified as 12-year-old Kawayne McAnuff and 30-year-old Ricardo Lowe.

This morning, members of the top brass of the Jamaica Constabulary Force as well as the Member of Parliament for Kingston Western, Desmond McKenzie, visited the torn communities of Bread Lane and North Street where the shootings took place.

It is reported that members of the New Generation gang went on a rampage as they continue to defy peace efforts in the area.
