NETBALL: St Catherine Racers keep unbeaten in Elite League

The St Catherine Racers and Clarendon Gaters played to a 32-32 draw in the country’s first semi-professional Elite Netball League yesterday at Mineral Heights in May Pen.



As a result of the tie, St Catherine Racers moved to seven points from three games to remain the only unbeaten team in the Berger-sponsored league.



Sabrina Spence-led St Catherine Racers with 21 goals from 25 attempts, while Anna-Kay Griffiths had 11 from 15.



For Clarendon Gaters, Kadia-Ann Dehaney scored 16 goals from 22 attempts, while Tracey-Ann Robinson had 12 from 14, Claudia Callender 3 from 3 and Saffron Knight 1 from 2.



There are two other round of matches remaining in the preliminary stage.



Following the preliminary round, the top four teams will contest the semi-finals.
