Kidnappers of Guyanese businessman reduce ransom

The police in Guyana are continuing their search for a 40-year-old businessman, who was allegedly kidnapped by two men on Saturday.

The kidnappers of Rajendra 'Sunil' Singh, from East Coast Demerara are reported to be demanding a GYD$25 million ransom, down from the GYD$50 million they were previously demanding.

Singh was reportedly snatched in front of his business place and bundled into his motor car which was later found abandoned.
