$51 million renovation work underway at Nannyville Health Centre

Renovation work totalling $51.5 million is currently underway on the Nannyville Health Centre in Kingston.



Twenty-six-point-nine million dollars is to be used for work on the building while an additional $24.6 million will be used to purchase furniture and equipment for the facility.



The South East Regional Health Authority says the scope of the project includes the installation of a chain-link perimeter fence, paving of the drive way, landscaping, installation of a new roof and ceiling and electrical upgrades.



It will also see grille work, installation of plumbing fixtures and air conditioning units being done.



Acting Board Chairman for the South East Regional Health Authority, Dr Andrei Cooke notes that the Nannyville Health Centre has been closed for several years.



He says it is just one of a number of health centres slated for renovation and or expansion by the health authority this year.
