Olympic 100-metre champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has pulled out of the 2014 UTech Track and Field Classic.

Her management team says she has been instructed by her doctors to take two weeks’ rest.

Her team says she is expected to resume full training following the rest period.

Fraser-Pryce was among a list of top athletes slated to compete at the meet scheduled for this weekend at the National Stadium.

The other headliners are Kaliese Spencer, Stephanie McPherson, Nesta Carter and Olympic medallists Yohan Blake and Warren Weir.
