COMING TOMORROW: Heroic cop humbled by attention after J$10 million find

Published:Tuesday | April 8, 2014 | 5:02 PM

Being the humble person that he is, Corporal Ricardo Garriques says he was not expecting all the attention and praise he has received after just doing his job.

Garrriques, a member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, was on patrol Monday morning when he witnessed a bag falling out of a Guardsman Armoured Truck on South Camp Road in Kingston.

On further inspection, he realised it was a bag containing J$10 million which he immediately carried to the Elletson Road Police Station.

The money has since been returned to the security company.
