No board of directors at NWC

The search is on for a new board of directors for the National Water Commission (NWC).

This as the 60-day extension granted to the current board, chaired by Leary Myers, comes to an end.

The Gleaner-Power 106 News Centre understands that the tenure of the NWC directors came to an end in February, but they were asked to stay on for two months by Water Minister Robert Pickersgill.

Pickersgill has, however, declined to comment on the issue, saying it has to be discussed by Cabinet.

Meanwhile, the Opposition Jamaica Labour Party says it will be watching the selection process closely.
