20-year-old man charged with 12-year-old boy’s murder

KINGSTON, Jamaica:

Twenty-year-old Shammal White has been charged with double murder in connection with the shooting death of a 12-year-old boy and another man in Denham Town on April 4.




White was arrested and charged following a question and answer session in the presence of his attorneys this morning.



He has also been charged with nine counts of shooting with intent and illegal possession of firearm.



White is one of 11 listed as persons of interest.



Another suspect is to face an ID parade tomorrow.



Twelve-year-old Kawayne McAnuff and 30-year-old Ricardo Lowe were killed when gunmen opened fire on a group of people in Bread Lane.

Nine other persons injured in the incident.
