Another police constable has committed suicide.

He is 21-year-old Virdon-Ron Taylor attached to the Anti-Corruption Branch. The Constabulary's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) reports that the incident happened 11:15 last night in New Hall District, Manchester.

The CCU says the policeman and his girlfriend were having a domestic dispute over text messages which came in on his cell phone. He reportedly left the bedroom, and shortly after, an explosion was heard. The body of the policeman was seen lying on the ground in a pool of blood.

The incident follows last weekend's murder-suicide involving 31-year-old Constable Davian Thompson attached to the Spanish Town police, who shot and killed his 27-year-old wife, Latoya Campbell-Thompson, just outside their apartment in the Oaklands Apartments Complex in St Andrew, before pulling the trigger on himself.

The incident happened minutes before Campbell-Thompson's 28th birthday.

The Mandeville Criminal Investigation Branch is investigating the latest incident with Taylor.
