The bus operators are opposing the Transport Authority's decision to block rural carriage operators from picking up and letting off passengers in the Kingston Metropolitan Transport Region.
Reports indicate that commuters are mainly stranded in Poor-man's Corner and Yallahs square.
The commuters say from as early as 5 o'clock this morning they were unable to get buses into Kingston.
