Jamaican schools continue dominance at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania:

Jamaican schools continued their dominance here at the 120th Penn Relays inside the University of Pennsylvania’s Franklin Field, after impressive performances this morning.

Calabar made a statement in the High School Boys 4x800m for large schools, winning their heat with a quick 7:42.94, as Kingston College responded with 7:54.73 taking their heat ahead of Jamaica College, 7:55.57.

In the small schools section, Spaldings, with 7:54.39 was the fastest, while Munro, with 8:18.03 ended as the 11th fastest school in the section.

Jamaica College looked good in their High School Boys 4x100m for large schools heat, winning in 40.92, as Calabar strolled to 41.01 to win their heat with Kingston College taking theirs in 41.21.

In the 4x100m for small school high school boys, St Jago was most impressive with a 41.42-second win with Excelsior, 42.29, Garvey Maceo, 42.74 and St Elizabeth Technical, 42.27 all taking their respective heats.
