KINGSTON, Jamaica:

Political analyst Kevin O’Brien Chang says it would be politically foolish if the Government keeps the proposed tax on withdrawals from banks and other deposit-taking institutions.

The Finance Minister Dr Peter Phillips is expected to announce this week if there will be any changes to the revenue measures aimed at raising an additional $6.7 billion.
