Cavalier secured an important 2-1 victory over Boys’ Town in the Red Stripe Premier League’s Monday Night fixture at the Stadium East field to move further away from the relegation zone.

However, while Cavalier moved toward safety, Boys’ Town remained just a point above the relegation zone with two matches to go.

Two teams will be relegated following the end of this round and August Town became the first of those teams on Sunday.

Girvon Brown scored both goals for Cavalier who improved to seventh place in the table on 36 points.

Sixth place Tivoli Gardens are also on 36 points.

Peter Keyes secured the lone goal for Boys’ Town, who remained in 10th place in the 12-team league.
