We have listened, says PM following tax objections

Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller has said that the Government has listened to the complaints about the tax package announced by the Finance Minister Dr Peter Phillips just over two weeks ago.

According to Simpson Miller, when the Finance Minister closes the Budget Debate tomorrow, he will address the issue.

There has been the most opposition to the tax on withdrawals from banks and other deposit-taking institutions.
