KPH pharmacy closes temporarily for renovation

Published:Sunday | May 4, 2014 | 6:05 PM

The South Eastern Regional Health Authority (SERHA) says pharmaceutical services at the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) will be temporarily relocated to the Victoria Jubilee Hospital.

The Jubilee Hospital shares grounds with the KPH. SERHA says the relocation is to facilitate renovation work on the KPH pharmacy.

The work will commence on Tuesday and is expected to last for approximately 16 weeks. Closing hours for the pharmacy will be extended from 4:30 in the afternoon to 6:00 during the evenings for the duration of the renovation.

Additionally, during the period of renovation, the KPH Pharmacy will only be able to dispense prescriptions issued at KPH.

The public is being encouraged to use the nearest health centre or Drug Serv pharmacy to access pharmaceutical services until the KPH refurbishing exercise is complete.

SERHA says it apologises for any inconvenience the relocation may cause and is soliciting the public's full cooperation.
