KINGSTON, Jamaica:

A pregnant woman was among more than 20 passengers travelling on a Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) bus who were injured during a peak hour traffic crash in St Andrew last evening.

JUTC spokesman, Clinton Clarke, says the accident happened along Washington Boulevard in the vicinity of the Six Miles Bridge when a GMC truck slammed into the rear of a JUTC articulated bus.

The JUTC bus was removed from the scene soon after the crash.

However, the disabled GMC truck was there for an extended period.

The crash added to the usual delay along the busy thoroughfare during peak hour.
