Suicide suspected in Portmore teen's death

KINGSTON, Jamaica:

Suicide has been suspected in the death of a 17-year-old girl of Portmore, St Catherine on Thursday.




Dead is Peta-Gaye Copeland, a student at Maths Unlimited in Kingston.



According to the Constabulary Force's Corporate Communications Unit, Copeland was discovered by relatives in a room hanging from the ceiling.



The police were summoned, the scene processed and her body removed to the morgue.



An administrator at Maths Unlimited said that Copeland was a part of the adult programme of the school.
