Illegal gun, ammo seized in Clarendon, St Elizabeth

The police have seized three firearms and four rounds of ammunition in Clarendon and St Elizabeth.



The Constabulary's Corporate Communications Unit says yesterday a team officers seized two homemade guns and one round of ammunition at Carty Hill and Lampford district in Clarendon yesterday.



The police say about 2:00 a.m., they searched several premises in the communities. The police reportedly observed two men who the say were acting suspiciously. They were accosted and searched and two homemade guns and a .38 cartridge was seized.



And in St Elizabeth, a man was taken into custody by the Black River police in relation to the seizure of a .38 revolver and three .38 cartridges.
