KINGSTON, Jamaica:

South St Catherine Member of Parliament Fitz Jackson is lamenting the fact that the economy and production committee, which is considering a motion on bank fees, has not met in over two months.

Jackson, who had carried the motion to the House of Representatives for a review of bank fees, said despite the bank of Jamaica presenting a final report two months ago, the committee has not met to examine it.

The MP appealed to House speaker Michael Peart to get answers as to when the committee would be meeting but the speaker said that is a decision for chairman Karl Samuda.
