For the second successive year Tsetsi 'Lights Out' Davis knocked Ramel 'Sub Zero' Lewis out of the Wray & Nephew Contender Boxing Series.

In 2013, Davis stopped Lewis at the semi-final stage and then in the 2014 series he secured victory in the quarter-finals.

Davis latest victory over Lewis was achieved last night in the first quarter-final bout at the Chinese Benevolent Association auditorium.

The six-round bout went the distance and Davis won by a unanimous decision.

Judges Keith Brown and Linden Allen scored the bout 60-54; while Clifford Brown had it 60-53.

The victory means that Davis secured the first semi-final spot and is guaranteed $200,000.

His professional record now stands at 11 wins and three defeats.

Lewis has now lost four fights from 10 bouts.

The second quarter-final bout takes place next Wednesday and features Jamaican Kevin 'Bus Boy' Hylton against Howard Eastman of Guyana.

The boxers are fighting for a top prize of $2 million, with the runner-up earning $500,000, third place $250,000 and fourth $200,000.
