KINGSTON, Jamaica:

The Portland police are now investigating the theft of two cash register machines from the cafeteria at the Titchfield High School.

The police believe thieves made off with the machines with a significant sum of cash on Wednesday night.

It is reported that the robbers first tied up the school security guard and locked him away in a freezer.

It was not until several hours later that he was found by school staff.

Investigators say the thieves gained entry to the cafeteria by breaking off a lock, while holding up the security officer.
