Man caught selling illegal sexual enhancement pills fined
A man caught selling illegal sexual performance enhancement drugs was yesterday ordered to pay $22,000 or serve three months imprisonment.
Donovan Payne was convicted on nine of 10 counts of breaches of the Pharmacy Act.
The 10th charge was withdrawn.
The Crown alleged that on April 18, Payne was spotted by police with a customer at his stall near Union Square in Cross Roads, Kingston.
The court was told that Payne began to act in a nervous manner which aroused the suspicions of the police.
He was searched and pill bottles containing several illegal pharmaceuticals found.
The police say they searched his house where they found Viagra and Cialis.
Payne told the court that his medical doctor had prescribed those medications for his type-one diabetes.
