NETBALL: Mico 'A' finish third in 2014 Major League competition

Mico ‘A’ recorded a comprehensive 61-30 victory over Waulgrovians ‘A’ last night to win the third place playoff in the 2014 Netball Jamaica/Supreme Ventures Major League competition.



The game was played at the Leila Robinson Courts.



Taniel Roberts led Mico ‘A’ with 56 goals from 70 attempts, while Javvan Benjamin had four from six and Shannika Johnson, one from two.



For Waulgrovians ‘A’, Sharna Carridice scored 19 goals from 28 attempts.



In the Minor League competition, Molynes United ‘C’ beat Liguanea United ‘B’ 29-20 for third place.



Amanda Pickney scored 27 goals from 31 attempts to lead Molynes United ‘C’, while Tamara Baker had 17 from 23 for Liguanea ‘B’.



Both finals will be played tomorrow at the National Indoor Sports Centre.



Titchfield and Pembroke Hall will battle for the Minor League crown at 5 p.m., followed by the Major League final between Jamalco and UWI Pelicans.
