Doctor’s Wood Disposal Site in Buff Bay on fire

The National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) says a section of a cell at the Doctor’s Wood Disposal Site in Buff Bay, Portland is on fire.
NSWMA says the cell has been isolated and fire fighters are working to extinguish the blaze.
However, efforts to put out the fire are being delayed due to windy conditions and water restrictions.
The NSWMA says residents in Windsor Castle, Hart Hill, Dover, Epsom and environs are to take the necessary precautions to to safeguard their property.
