Police to charge 'mad' Half-Way Tree shooter
The Police are this week expected to charge the alleged mentally ill man who disarmed a policeman and used his gun to shoot two people.
Investigators say the man is expected to be charged with illegal possession of firearm and shooting with intent.
The injured persons remain in hospital.
The police say their wounds are not considered life threatening.
The police had reported that about 2:15 Sunday afternoon, a policeman who was on duty in Half-Way Tree was disarmed by a man of unsound mind.
They say several shots were fired by the man, hitting two civilians.
The police say a policeman who was off duty responded and opened fire hitting him.
The firearm was retrieved and all three individuals were taken to hospital.
